With the school year coming to an end, Kettle Moraine School for Arts and Performance (KM Perform) seniors are wrapping up their portfolios, which are completely original art-driven projects that encompass all the student has learned throughout their high school experience. This year, the eleven writing focus seniors organized a portfolio showcase night so that anyone could drop by and see their projects all at once.

Once of the presenters is Asher Schleich, presenting his poetry and photography book “Near and Far” in the Creative Lab. The poetry collection is about his struggles as a youth as well as his international travels.

In the Hemingway Room will be Quinn Jensen, who wrote, revised, edited and is in the process of publishing a romance novella. Jensen will be sharing an excerpt from the novella “We Can Be Patient,” which depicts the struggles of an abusive relationship between two characters falling out of love.

Maddy Burgireno will be in the DaVinci room reading an excerpt from her dramatic thriller novel “Safe Space.” Her book description reads: “After a traumatic incident that left her fearing for her life, Fern Davies finds a town in the middle of nowhere to call home. However, people in small towns tend to be set in their old ways, and this move might have been a deadly mistake.”

Please join these amazing writers and more on May 23rd, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 PM in the KM Perform area. It’s finally time for the seniors to showcase all of their hard work and amazing talent!
